My First Christmas

Well my first Christmas was great fun. Mummy helped me open all my presents and I got all dressed up for the day which was very exciting.

Ok so tell me again... some guy came down our chimney in the middle of the night and left me lots of nice books and presents!? This should happen every night!

On Christmas Eve we got all dressed up too. Although it was a bit more conservative than...

... Christmas Day! I spent the first half of the day dressed as some dude called 'Rudolf'. I went out for a walk on the beach dressed like that, how embarrassing!

Eilbhe and Daddy received lots of nice presents too, although I am too young to play with them yet!

Santy got me a lovely new book called "Beep Beep Teddy". The protagonist drives around in his car all day. It's very exciting.

A Christmas Carol

It has been a while since I updated my blog but I thought it best to get up to date before Santy arrives or he might put me on his naughty list. I am hoping to post my very first video upload on Christmas day...

I started to smile about 4 weeks ago and haven't stopped since! It's great fun.

Eilbhe and I like to hang out in Mummy and Daddy's bedroom when they think we are asleep in our cots. Eilbhe's great at teaching me all the tricks about how to get what I want!

It's very exciting! When I get really excited I chuckle and wave my arms about!

I watched the others put up my first Christmas tree. It smells lovely and combined with a roaring fire it feels very Christmassy (or so I am told)!

The Visitors

Hello everybody,

Well I had a brief stint in hospital. I had a high temperature and wasn't in the mood for food so the nice doctors and nurses in Crumlin looked after me for a few days. It was very comfortable although I don't think Mummy got too much sleep. Thankfully it turned out to be a virus and nothing serious so I am back at home now with Daddy and my big Sis.

I love sitting up now in my bouncy chair. I can look around and see what's goin' on!

My Auntie Baibre visited me all the way from Amsterdam. She helped out Mummy as it was Daddy's first week back at work since I was born.

Bella came to visit me too and she had knitted me a loverly warm cosy wooly blanket. It is helping me keep warm in these cold wintery days.

Bella's mum Ev popped in at the same time and gave me lots of hugs.

The Boyz (aka Tim, Jack and Neil) called in too. They are all so old now!

Uncle Paul from France, and Uncle Alan from London called over after I got out of hospital and brought me up to date on my cousins around the world.

I keep threatening to smile....any day now...

28 Days Later

Well actually it's exactly a month since I was born but I am sticking to theme here with my Blog titles! It's been a busy month. I am doing really well and I now weigh 10 and a half pounds. I am spending more of the time awake and looking around during the day which is proving to be great fun!

I am getting used to this camera thing. Now that I can focus a bit better I have started peering into the mesmerising lens!

This picture was taken just before some of my hair at the top of head starting falling off! I now have a bald patch!

Everyone seems to get very excited whenever I have a bit of wind. I think that they think that I think that I am trying to smile, but no, it's just wind for now. I will hold off on smiling for another week or two.

It was nice that we got some good weather for a change! I we all went for a lovely walk down the pier one day. It was great to get a blast of sea air!

My sister now spends most of the time trying to give me hugs and kisses. She is very sweet.

When I lie on Daddy's chest I listen to his heart and drift off to sleep.

Daddy loves to give me big kisses.

Mummy is trying to teach me 'clap handies' but I can't quite get to grips with it just yet.

My favourite time of the day is when I go for my bath in the afternoon. It's lovely and warm.

Two Weeks Notice

Hello again,

Well it has been a very busy fortnight here. I have spent most of my days sleeping (which is why I haven't had too many photos taken!). Mummy is getting better slowly but surely which is great. My big sister is becoming my biggest fan now and every time I see her she starts giggling and laughing. I can't wait to get up and about and start playing with her and all her toys!

Some afternoons I am so tired I just fall asleep on the couch.

Auntie Niamh called up all the way from Wexford and gave me a big hug. Her sweater was lovely and warm!

Eilbhe helps Mummy get me ready for the day in the morning. She is standing up now which makes it much easier for me to see her from where I am!

The weather finally improved and we all went out for our first family walk.

I got to see a clear blue sky for the first time since I was born! The fresh air did me the world of good and made me even more sleepy!

After our big walk Mummy wrapped me up nice and warm and I went for my afternoon nap.

When I am awake during the day I spend most of my time contemplating world domination in the years to come. 

At night after some tossing and turning I eventually manage to kick Mummy and Daddy out of bed and have the whole thing to myself!

I practice my Yoga every morning at 6 am.

"Ok one more photo and then put that camera away...I'll give you a profile..."

First Contact

I spent most of my first day fast asleep... and most of the night wide awake. Mummy didn't get much sleep! Whenever Daddy came in I seemed to be asleep!

Una came into visit me on my first day it was nice to finally meet her.

Aoife came in too!

And finally Granny and Granddad came to visit me. It was a very exciting evening.

The next day my big sister Eilbhe came into visit me. Unfortunately I was asleep. So I will have to wait till I get home to play with her properly. I can't wait!

Touchdown

Hello.

My name is Eimear and I was born this morning (5th of September) in the small hours of the morning at 12.08am. I weighed in at exactly 8lbs (3.63kg) and as yet I have to be measured. I broke the waters on Tuesday night as I was running out of space and 2 days later they induced me into the world. They were trying to rush me but I wasn't having any of it so I hung out for as long as I could and waited till Friday as I wanted to chill out for the weekend.

 In the womb I heard all about my sister's blog so I decided to follow suit and start my own. 

So here is my very first entry. Short and sweet because I have to get some rest. Mummy and I are knackered!

As soon I was born the nice midwife wrapped me up all nice and warm and I got to lie down with Mummy for the first time. She's as cozy outside as she was inside!

Later on mummy gave me a bath and I went straight for a nap with her.

We were both very sleepy. We were in labour for over 12 hours. Ouch.

Well it's time for me to go now. I have lots of visitors coming later so I better catch up on my beauty sleep!!
